Mood Board: Coastal Modern

One of the best vacations I’ve ever been on was to two Greek islands: Naxos and Paros. So this mood board is inspired by the blues and whites of those towns and blue ocean and white waves crashing nearby. I also wanted to play with midcentury styles to go with my terrazzo floors (which kind of looks like sand with all the colors in it) and tying it all back to the ocean. So… I’m thinking midcentury but by the beach? I think this can work out! I’m sharing a few homes below for inspiration, let me know what you think!

The Inspiration

The design:

Sectional // Media Console // Lamp // Coffee Table // Rug // Plant Stand // Throw Blanket // Faux Fiddle Leaf Tree // Throw Pillow // Terrazzo Lamp // Abstract Knot

I found a super cute terrazzo lamp from Walmart on sale! It even has little flecks of blue like in my floors, which you can see HERE, to round everything out. I’ll share an update on the floors next, I’m just working so hard every weekend to getting the house in a place where I can start putting furniture in it! I’m so close! But for now, I’m just drawing up the vision on what could be.
