We’ve been wedding planning non-stop for months and it’s finally starting to slow down! So now the fun stuff is about to go down, the first of them being our engagement photos! We would’ve done it sooner, but we got engaged in April and there was just no way we would be able to take photos in the dead of summer. In FLORIDA? No thanks! So we took the time to thoughtfully plan and storyboard these characters for our engagement session.
We were going for a retro, old Florida style engagement shoot that looked like we were eloping. I’m talking full paparazzi vibes like we were leaving all of our problems behind, Bonnie and Clyde, and running off together into the sunset. Our photographer, Dewitt for Love Photography, understood the assignment. The first location is giving California or Havana vibes in Ybor, and the second in downtown Tampa looks like NYC. I love that we were able to get our photos to look like they were taken in such different places, but still be right here in Tampa.

Downtown Tampa and Ybor Engagement Photos
Can you believe the engagement photos in Ybor took place in just half a block? We were in a parking lot and the sidewalk and street adjacent to the parking lot. The second location was in front of the steps of Le Meridien Hotel in downtown Tampa.
