Do you have a room that you neglected finishing and it’s used as storage for the most part? For me, that’s the guest bedroom. While I use it mostly for my office when working from home, it also serves as storage for all the random things in our house that doesn’t yet have a home. It also has the best light in the whole house so my plants love it in here!

It’s been over a year since we moved in here, so I think it’s finally time we give it a makeover it so desperately needs!
I’m currently between jobs and planning a wedding, so this makeover is going to be easy and budget friendly. But most importantly, it will be functional. We have only 900sqft of space in this house, so every nook and cranny needs to have a purpose. We’re using all of the space under the bed and in the closet to store things, so hoping that adding extra shelves and cabinets will help us to better organize this space. I’m giving myself 3 DAYS to give this space a makeover, and then I’ll enjoy the rest of my week off to rest before starting my new job!

When we moved into this house, this room had gray carpet and shutter style closet doors. So we ripped everything out and gave the room a new coat of paint, added a bed and a desk, and that’s about where we left off!
Let’s take a look back at those days, shall we?

Thankful for how far we’ve come!
The mock up:
